Arbitrary file read via allowlist-matching rename
Published May 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Snyk Broker before 4.80.0 allows remote authenticated users on Snyk's internal network to read arbitrary files. The Broker's path allowlist treats a renamed file as approved when its new name matches a whitelisted path, exposing the renamed file through the proxy. Exploitation requires internal-network access and discloses files readable by the Broker process, with no reported write or execution impact.
