CVE-2020-7648Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file read via URL fragment confusion

Published May 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Arbitrary file read in Snyk Broker before 4.72.2 allows remote authenticated users to read files via crafted request URLs. The request filter validates a whitelisted path placed after a fragment identifier while forwarding the pre-fragment filePath value to the brokered service. Access to Snyk's internal network is required, and successful exploitation exposes readable files without modifying or interrupting the service.
