CVE-2020-7620Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote command execution via unsanitized process identifier

Published Apr 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in NetEase pomelo-monitor 0.3.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted pid. The getPsInfo function concatenates param.pid into a ps auxw | grep shell command and passes the resulting string to child_process.exec without validation. Reachability depends on a consuming application passing remote input into the library API; successful injection runs with that application's operating-system privileges.
