Prototype pollution in minimist before 1.2.2 allows remote attackers to modify Object.prototype via crafted command-line arguments. The argument parser's nested-key assignment traverses attacker-controlled keys and writes through proto or constructor without sanitization. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled arguments; effects include properties on all objects or an uncaught crash.
