CVE-2020-7594Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated OS command execution via ping field

Published Jan 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

OS command injection in MultiTech Conduit gateways with mPower 1.4.17 or 5.0.X through 5.3.X allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The Debug Options ping function passes the interface JSON field to an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Administrative access to the device web interface is required, after which injected commands execute with the privileges of the affected service.
