CVE-2020-7589Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Configuration theft and disruption via unauthenticated TDE commands

Published Jun 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Missing authentication in the TDE service in Siemens LOGO! 8 BM all versions allows remote attackers to alter configuration and disrupt devices. Port 135/tcp accepts unauthenticated NFSAccess delete and upload operations and a DELETEPROG command, allowing SD-card erasure, file overwrite, and project deletion. Network access to the TDE service is sufficient; crafted requests can also retrieve project files and modify device configuration.
