CVE-2020-7505Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via unverified firmware updates

Published Jun 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code-download validation in Schneider Electric Easergy T300 firmware 1.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The firmware-update path accepts attacker-modified firmware content without verifying its integrity before installation. High-privileged access to the network update function is required, and successful exploitation compromises the RTU firmware and its control functions.
