Code execution via untrusted DLL search path
Published Apr 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
DLL search-path flaws in Vijeo Designer Basic 1.1 HotFix 15 and earlier and Vijeo Designer 6.9 SP9 and earlier allow local users to execute code. Schneider Electric has not identified the executable, DLL name, or searched directory; the advisory states only that the product loads a malicious library through an untrusted path. Exploitation is local and requires user interaction to cause the affected application to load the DLL, granting code execution with the application's privileges.
