OS command execution via CHAINE script variable
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in Sage X3 Syracuse allows remote authenticated users with developer access to execute OS commands through web scripts. Scripts using the System function evaluate a CHAINE value as an executable path, including a payload hosted on a remote SMB share. The Scripts page must expose development functionality, and injected commands run as the x3run user rather than as a system administrator.
