OS command injection in Rapid7 Metasploit Framework before 5.0.85 allows attackers to execute commands through an imported XML file. The libnotify plugin's notify_send method interpolates imported service data into one shell command passed to system without neutralization. The operator must load libnotify and process the crafted file with db_import; normal scans do not reach the path, and commands run as the msfconsole user.
