Authentication bypass in McAfee Endpoint Security before 10.7.0 April 2020 Update allows local users with administrator rights to export policies. MfeUpgradeTool.exe honors its /export and /plaintext options without separate policy authentication, writing settings and stored credentials to a file. Local administrator privileges and execution on an affected Windows installation are required; exposed data includes server addresses, paths, usernames, and passwords.
