Sensitive data disclosure via crafted HTTP parameter
Published Apr 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in McAfee Advanced Threat Defense before 4.12.2 allows remote authenticated users to view unencrypted data. The web interface returns sensitive data when it processes a crafted HTTP request parameter, but McAfee has not disclosed the affected endpoint or parameter. Access requires authentication and network reachability to the ATD web interface, which recommended deployments do not expose directly to the Internet.
