Improper privilege management in McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac 10.6.9 and earlier allows local users to delete protected files. A privileged McAfee delete action follows an attacker-controlled symbolic link and removes its unintended target without enforcing the caller's file permissions. Exploitation requires a local user to run a malicious script or program, and the bounded consequence is deletion of otherwise inaccessible files.
