Buffer overflow in the AMSI component of McAfee Endpoint Security before 10.7.0 February 2020 Update allows local users to disable protection. The component copies attacker-controlled environment-variable data without adequate bounds enforcement, but the vendor has not identified the affected function or buffer. A local low-privileged user and crafted input are required; successful exploitation disables endpoint defenses rather than crashing the host.
