Super-user command execution via network configuration editor
Published Jan 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 28, 2024
OS command execution in Meinberg LANTIME M300 and IMS LANTIME M1000 allows remote authenticated users to run commands through the web UI. The Extended Network Configuration page lets super-users edit /config/netconf.cmd, a script deliberately executed by the appliance. Full super-user access is required, and Meinberg disputes the classification because the editor is intended to accept OS commands.
