Unauthenticated command execution via PHP shell_exec
Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Remote code execution in LinuxKI Toolset 6.0-1 and earlier allows attackers to execute commands through its web visualization interface. PHP visualization scripts pass HTTP parameters into shell_exec without adequate validation, allowing crafted requests to run operating-system commands. The interface must be reachable by the attacker; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
