Authenticated reflected XSS via unescaped profile search
Published Jan 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in the LearnDash LMS plugin before 3.1.2 for WordPress allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser. The ld30_ajax_profile_search action reflects the ld-profile-search query value into the profile response without validating or encoding it. Exploitation requires a logged-in WordPress user and victim interaction with a crafted URL, limiting direct impact to script execution in that victim's site origin.
