User enumeration in Hikvision DS-7204HGHI-F1 DVR firmware 4.0.1 build 180903 allows remote attackers to identify valid accounts. The web login handler at ISAPI/Security/sessionLogin/capabilities returns distinguishable failure responses according to whether the submitted username exists. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the device permits only about four or five failed logins, limiting each enumeration run.
