Authenticated file read via unrestricted XML entities
Published Apr 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
XXE in the Media Server of Avaya Meetings Server 9.x through 9.1.10 allows remote authenticated users to read system files. The screen-sharing API endpoint accepts XML, and its parser resolves attacker-defined external entities instead of disabling them. Access to that endpoint requires authentication; crafted XML can also make server-side requests or interrupt the Media Server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
