Browser script execution via unsafe result URLs

Cross-site scripting in Elastic App Search before 7.7.0 allows attackers to execute JavaScript through Reference UI document URLs. The Reference UI inserts an attacker-controlled URL field into a result link that the browser renders without rejecting executable URI schemes. Exploitation requires control of an indexed document URL and a victim to encounter the affected result, exposing browser-accessible data and actions.
