Weak cryptography in Moxa PT-7528 firmware 4.0 and earlier and PT-7828 firmware 3.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to read confidential data. Moxa states that the firmware uses a weak algorithm and improperly implements a cryptographic function, but does not identify the algorithm, function, data path, or exposed data. Network access without authentication is sufficient, and the reported consequence is limited to confidentiality with no integrity or availability impact.
