CVE-2020-6967Network attack vector

Unauthenticated SYSTEM code execution via .NET deserialization

Published Mar 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Insecure deserialization in all FactoryTalk Diagnostics versions allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. The RNADiagnosticsSrv.exe endpoint listens on TCP port 8082 and deserializes user-supplied .NET Remoting data without proper validation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants code execution with SYSTEM privileges.
