Unauthenticated remote code execution via weak encryption
Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Weak encryption in ApexPro Telemetry Server 4.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain remote code execution via remote desktop control. The remote desktop control service uses encryption with insufficient strength, allowing attackers on the network to defeat protection and reach control functions. The network position is sufficient without authentication or user interaction, and successful exploitation can execute code on affected devices.
