CVE-2020-6961Network attack vector

SSH private-key disclosure via plaintext configuration storage

Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Plaintext credential storage in affected GE ApexPro and CARESCAPE systems allows remote attackers to obtain an SSH private key. Affected configuration files store the key without adequate protection, but public records do not identify the file path or the request that exposes it. No authentication or user interaction is required; the disclosed record does not establish what subsequent actions the key enables.
