CVE-2020-6868

WAN parameter tampering via proxy validation bypass

Published Jun 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in ZTE ZXHN F680 V9.0.10P1N6 allows attackers to alter WAN connection parameters through web management. The web front end enforces a WAN-name length limit, but the HTTP proxy accepts a manipulated parameter without equivalent validation. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and low-privilege access to the management interface; the documented consequence is integrity-only parameter tampering.
