Unauthenticated router service interruption
Published Feb 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Access-control failure in ZTE E8820V3 firmware through 3.1.0.1000.4 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted URL. The affected DDNS request path accepts unauthenticated parameter changes and a denial-of-service request, but ZTE has not disclosed the URL, request fields, or failed authorization operation. Access is limited to the router's adjacent network, and the published impact is service interruption without reported confidentiality loss.
