CVE-2020-6862Public exploit

Information disclosure via client-side CAPTCHA validation

Published Jan 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in ZTE F6x2W firmware V6.0.10P2T2 and V6.0.10P2T5 allows remote attackers to read management-page information. The web interface performs CAPTCHA validation in client-side logic, so a crafted login POST can skip /checkValidateCode.gch and invoke the login path directly. Reachability requires access to the router management interface and valid credentials, including unchanged defaults; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of authenticated page information.
