Authenticated file disclosure via XML external entities
Published Feb 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XML external entity injection in SOS JobScheduler JOC Cockpit 1.12 and 1.13.2 allows remote authenticated users to read server files. JOC Cockpit parses XML documents defining job and order run-time settings while permitting external entity declarations to resolve server-side file paths. A low-privileged authenticated user who can submit such a document can disclose files readable by the JOC Cockpit process; no integrity or service-interruption impact is reported.
