CVE-2020-6847Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session theft via unencoded deletion modal

Published Jan 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

DOM-based XSS in OpenTrade 0.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to steal administrator sessions through chat messages. The message-deletion confirmation modal inserts stored chat-message text into the DOM without HTML or URL encoding, causing embedded JavaScript to execute. A normal user must store the payload, and an administrator must click its delete control; the non-HttpOnly session cookie is then exposed.
