CVE-2020-6779Network attack vector

Database admin access via hard-coded credentials

Published Jan 25, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Use of hard-coded credentials in Bosch FSM-2500 and FSM-5000 servers through 5.2 allows remote attackers to gain database admin access. The database authentication path accepts embedded static credentials, granting administrator control over stored fire-monitoring data and enabling operating-system command execution. No login or user interaction is required, so any network-reachable server is exposed to data compromise, service disruption, and host command execution.
