Unauthenticated configuration access via exposed Telnet service
Published Feb 7, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Missing authentication in Bosch Video Streaming Gateway through 6.45.08 allows remote attackers to read and alter VSG configuration data. The VSG Telnet service on instance ports 8023 through 8029 accepts configuration retrieval and update operations without authenticating the requester. Network reachability to an instance port is sufficient; altered configuration can compromise live and recorded video and associated storage.
