Unauthenticated code execution via lang command injection
Published Jan 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in Rasilient PixelStor 5000 K:4.0.1580-20150629 allows remote attackers to execute code through the lang parameter. The unauthenticated languageOptions.php endpoint passes attacker-controlled lang input into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation permits arbitrary command execution that can expose, alter, or interrupt appliance data and services.
