Heap-based buffer over-read in jhead 3.04 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to disclose memory or crash via a crafted JPEG. For GPS latitude and longitude tags, ProcessGpsInfo advances through three rational components and passes each denominator pointer to Get32s without a remaining-length check. Processing requires a local user to run jhead on the malicious file; the published assessment reports no ability to modify data.
