Reflected XSS via unencoded main_page parameter
Published Mar 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Zen Cart 1.5.6d allows remote attackers to execute script in a shopper's browser through a crafted main_page URL. The two tpl_main_page.php templates render the user-controlled main_page parameter without encoding when direct access bypasses default web-server protections. Successful exploitation requires a victim to follow the crafted link, exposing browser-accessible data and actions in the store's origin.
