Heap corruption via WebRTC use-after-free
Published May 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use after free in WebRTC in Google Chrome before 83.0.4103.61 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via crafted HTML. Google has not published the affected WebRTC function or the object-lifetime error that leaves freed memory reachable. A user must load the crafted page, and the disclosed consequence is heap corruption rather than a documented sandbox escape.
