Out-of-bounds access in PDFium in Google Chrome before 81.0.4044.122 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via a crafted PDF. PDFium runs embedded JavaScript with V8 in jitless mode, where a repeated search using an oversized regular expression reads beyond the RegExp register array. A victim must open the malicious PDF or a page containing it; successful exploitation executes code within the browser context.
