Process-memory disclosure via extension policy failure
Published Apr 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Insufficient policy enforcement in Chrome extensions before 81.0.4044.92 allows attackers to read process memory through a crafted extension. Google has not published which extension policy check fails or how the crafted extension reaches process memory. Exploitation requires convincing a user to install the malicious extension, and the documented consequence is limited to potentially sensitive memory disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
