Navigation restriction bypass via crafted HTML
Published Apr 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Insufficient navigation policy enforcement in Google Chrome before 81.0.4044.92 allows remote attackers to bypass navigation restrictions. Public vendor material identifies the navigations component but does not disclose the policy check or code path that mishandles a crafted HTML page. Exploitation requires a user to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the documented consequence is limited to bypassing navigation restrictions.
