CVE-2020-6305Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unencoded REST input

Published Jan 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cross-site scripting in SAP Process Integration REST Adapter 7.31, 7.40, and 7.50 allows remote attackers to inject script via HTTP requests. The adapter fails to sufficiently encode user-controlled input before incorporating it into web content returned to a browser. Exploitation requires a victim browser to process the crafted response, enabling script execution in that session with confidentiality and integrity impact but no reported service interruption.
