Information disclosure and outage via unauthenticated socket
Published Jun 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in SAP NetWeaver AS Java P4 clients allows attackers to read deployment data or interrupt the component. The P4 client implementation opens a server socket without authentication and accepts operations that require a user identity. Exploitation requires network access to that client-side socket; the bounded consequences are deployment-data disclosure or component outage.
