CVE-2020-6248Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via DUMP or LOAD input

Published May 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code injection in SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise Backup Server before 16.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. Backup Server passes insufficiently validated DUMP or LOAD command input into code-executing processing; SAP has not identified the affected parameter or sink. Database-owner status or an account with dump or load privileges is required, and successful exploitation can compromise the server host.
