CVE-2020-6234Network attack vector

Root or SYSTEM execution via unsanitized SOAP parameters

Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

OS command injection in SAP Host Agent before 7.21 allows remote authenticated users with administrative access to execute commands as root or SYSTEM. The SOAP operation framework fails to sanitize parameters passed to several functions that run under privileged service accounts. SAP SMD Agent administrative access to the Host Agent interface on ports 1128 or 1129 is required, and successful exploitation grants full operating-system control.
