Authenticated script execution via insufficient output encoding
Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform before 4.2 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a victim's browser. The Web Intelligence HTML interface fails to sufficiently encode user-controlled input before returning it in generated web content. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; script runs in the Web Intelligence origin, allowing browser-session data to be read or modified.
