Application takeover via unrestricted Java class access
Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Code injection in SAP OrientDB 3.0 allows remote authenticated users with script permissions to control application behavior through JavaScript. Before 3.0.29, the server-side JavaScript engine permits scripts to access Java classes without a default class or package allowlist. Exploitation requires authentication, script execute/write permissions, and enabled server-side scripting; successful code controls the application's behavior.
