CVE-2020-6225Network attack vector

Arbitrary file modification via unvalidated parent traversal

Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in SAP NetWeaver Knowledge Management KMC-CM and KMC-WPC allows remote authenticated users to alter arbitrary server files. User-supplied parent-directory sequences pass through insufficient path validation to file APIs instead of remaining within the intended repository path. A low-privileged network account is required; exploitation can overwrite, delete, or corrupt server files.
