CVE-2020-6224Network attack vector

Administrator credential disclosure via HTTP tracing

Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in SAP NetWeaver AS Java HTTP Service versions 7.10 through 7.50 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to access passwords via trace files. The HTTP Provider and Web Container tracing services record login credentials from request parameters, headers, or bodies in plaintext or hexadecimal trace output when tracing is enabled. Administrator access and a credential-bearing login request are required; impact is sensitive-data confidentiality loss without reported integrity or availability effects.
