Cross-site scripting via insufficient output encoding
Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 and 4.2 allows remote attackers to run HTML in the Web Intelligence interface. The interface insufficiently encodes user-controlled input before returning it in HTML, causing browser interpretation rather than inert display. Exploitation requires a target user to interact with attacker-controlled content and exposes that user's browser session to arbitrary HTML execution.
