Credential theft via hostname-substring redirect in IT00
Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP IT00 700, 701, 702, 730, 731, 740, and 750 through 754 allows remote attackers to redirect users. The transition_navigation.htm OnInputProcessing handler tests only whether applicationUrl contains the server hostname before passing the entire value to navigation->call_application. Attackers need no SAP account, but a victim must follow the crafted link and complete the redirected interaction, enabling phishing-assisted credential theft.
