Reflected XSS via unencoded meta tag parameter
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in SAP Fiori Launchpad 753 and 754 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted parameter. The launchpad HTML generator places the user-controlled parameter into a meta tag without sufficient output encoding, so the response reflects executable markup. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted request; script runs in that user's browser and can read or alter launchpad content available to that session.
