Unauthenticated script execution via Smart Forms reflection
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Smart Forms before 7.54 lets remote attackers run script in a user's browser. Smart Forms reflects user-controlled parameters into generated HTML without sufficient output encoding, allowing injected JavaScript to execute in the victim's SAP session. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to deliver a crafted request that a victim opens; script access is bounded by the victim's authenticated session and can read or alter same-origin content.
